You’ve seen a million videos about travel. But we guarantee you have NEVER seen a short film like this. Watch this 6 minute film that Warner Brothers snatched up in less than a week for its latest feature film. Super dope…

Bangkok, the city famous for cheap massages, ladyboys, happy endings and, ironically, holding the title for the most backpacked city  in the world is the chosen setting for the super highly anticipated futuristic sci-fi short film True Skin. Directed by Stephan Zlotescu, the film takes its viewers on an adventure through the chaotic streets of future Bangkok. In the film, humans have begun “augmenting” their bodies (you just have to watch it to understand) and the protagonist Kaye finds himself in need of augmentation. So he heads to BKK, where the price tag of augmentation (like most goods and, um, services in Bangkok), is cheaper than it is in the US. While in Bangkok, Kaye finds an off-market and apparently valuable prototype that puts him high up on the wanted list by some very shady characters.

If the story seems a bit out there, well, it is. And the film’s special effects go even further. Just a week after the film’s release, Warner Brothers has already decided to turn it into a feature film. The producer?  Harry Potter’s David Heyman.

This ain’t your usual time-lapse travel video. Check it out.
