Wanna global-ize your sexy? Here are some beauty tips to take from cultures around the world.
There aren’t too many girls who don’t have a desire to look and feel attractive. The journey to ‘hot’ is incessant in the lives of women, however, nomadik ladies have an advantage: Traveling not only adds to our beauty internally but we also like to discover beauty not-so-secrets in the countries we visit.
Of course, the styles of women across the world vary depending on cultural beliefs, but why not just borrow a little beauty culture from all of them?
Argentina- Grow your hair long
While a creative, short pixie-style cut might be cool in the rest of the world, in Argentina long hair rules. According to a study by Euromonitor International, 6 out of 10 Argentinean women prefer long hair – a significantly higher percentage compared to the rest of the world. Long hair is often seen as a universal symbol of femininity and beauty. And because Argentina is undoubtedly one of the most sexual and sensual destinations on earth, it’s no surprise girls there prefer to grow (or buy) ass-length hair.
Where to go: If you don’t have a few years to wait to grow hair down to your ass, head to one of the most popular hair extension salons in Buenos Aires, Javier Aranda Hair and Makeup Salon.
Japan- Be feminine
Even though Japan is constantly moving toward a more egalitarian society, Japanese culture still values traditional gender roles. Even in spoken Japanese, women are expected to be more polite than their male counterparts. But for many men (and women) around the world, femininty is seen as beautiful and not submissive as many westerners might believe. And there is no greater symbol of the sweet, sensual female as the Geisha.
Where to go: If you are a little rough around the edges and are planning to take a trip to Japan, why not try becoming a Geisha for a day in Kyoto? Try the Maiko experience and discover your femininity.
Dominican Republic- Learn to dance
There is nothing sexy about being a wallflower. The ability to gyrate your hips and stay on beat is perhaps the sole reason Latin American and Caribbean women are synonmous with the word sexy. So next time you find yourself in Trinidad or Havana, try to learn a few steps to up your sexy game.
Where to go: In Puerto Plata, Dominican Republic, try the Emily Wastson school of dance. If you are anywhere in Puerto Rico, check out this link for a salsa class near you.
Australia- Be active
Watching reality television while scarfing down a bag of sour cream and onion potato chips is about as beautiful as Snooki’s police mugshot. In other words, being a sloth is hardly ever considered sexy. Australians have a reputation for being some of the most fit people on earth because of their love for outdoor activities.
Where to go: Couch potato-ism is not hot. Try a 2-day surf camp in Sydney at the Mojo Surf School.
Ethiopia - Learn to speak a different language
African is one of the most multi-lingual continents on the planet. Ethiopia is no different. People commonly speak two or more languages, and countrywide there are more than 80 different languages spoken, including the official language Amharic and innumerable tribal languages. Not counting the millions of Ethiopians worldwide who live in places like Norway, Sweden, the US and Israel.
Where to go: A great, and perhaps the only way to truly learn a language, is total immersion. If you are looking for jobs or study abroad programs, take a look at GoAbroad.com where you can browse through heaps of jobs, internships, volunteer and language study programs.
Germany- Drink a beer
Beer is indeed an acquired taste. Some of us just aquire sooner rather than later. But if you are a late beer-bloomer, than it’s time to head to the motherland of beer – Germany. Girls who can down a beer (without ending the night praying to the porcelain god) can hang with the guys. There is nothing cooler or more beautiful than a girl who knows the fine art of drinking a brew.
Where to go: If you happen to be in Munich, check out the beer crawl Size Matters Beer Tours. You can experience all the hops of southern Germany and make a few friends in the process.
Italy- Get some style
Italians, unlike the rest of the world, have four, not three basic human needs – food, water, housing and fashion. Having style in Italia is NOT an option. Fashion sense represents individualism, creativity and consequently, beauty. So instead of spending all of your time chowing down pizza and pasta while you’re in Milan (or anywhere else in Italy, for that matter), make sure you get some shopping therapy and remember to take few mental style notes as you people watch.
Where to go: If you aren’t trying to spend a fortune, take a moment to find where the outlets are. You can get some fashionably dope rags without the luxury price tag.
India- Accessorize
Nobody does jewelry quite like Indian women. Unlike Mr. T, they have a way of making a ton of jewelry around your neck look feminine and exotic.
Where to go: Mumbai is a shopper’s dream because you can get silver, gold and other precious jewels for nearly half of the price of what it would cost in the western world. Head to the western suburb of Bandra for the best deals.

I think staying healthy is the sexiest thing to do for yourself, we just did a two week liquid detox and the results were amazing. 4th of July ruined it all though, we went a little BBQ crazy.

Great tips! Definitley staying healthy and active is always sexy and will keep you looking good. I’m half Trinidadian and half Dominican and one thing I think is sexy is staying in tuned with my culture. So many women I know, try to hide their culture. It is what makes us all so unique and beautiful. My neighbors must think I’m crazy when I blast Merengue music then a few minutes later some Soca or Calypso. :0) I eat Curry and Roti and love Mangu! Life is good :0)
Diolis it was a pleasure meeting you and your friend at the I’m a Beast show in Atlanta!

Ok so I”m Indian and have the accessories down. I just lobbed my long locks off in a horror inducing trip to the salon and am missing my long hair like mad. Definitely need to get more active though, not only do I men love it, I feel way better about myself when I’m fitter. So, got a few of these down. Oh and you can give me a beer anyday!
